Fashion designer Daniel Blechmann from SOPOPULAR found inspiration from Hollywood classics and film rebels such as Marlon Brando in The Wild One, or Walter Hill’s The Warriors for his new collection.
Militantly positioned in two rows, some models menacingly carrying baseball bats, they presented 12 styles for the Autumn/Winter 2013 season in the studio of the Berlin Fashion Week tent at Brandenburger Tor.
Blechmann skillfully takes from the wardrobe of gang culture. He shows club jackets made of suede, classic blazers, waxed shirts, biker jackets with studs, long sleeves, plus leather bracelets and Doc Martens.
Zippers become important details. Baseball bats turn into accessories. For the look book and the video of the current collection designer Blechmann was able to get the well-known male model Daniel Bamdad on board. The tattoo model perfectly fits the wild SOPOPULAR A/W 2013 universe.
