Every season it takes us exactly 6 months to think about, which act we want to see on stage at our next DANDY DIARY Berlin Fashion Week Opening Party .
This season, the direction was clear: something hard, wild and brutal – fitting the new dandy-strength of 2014.
Our first thought was, to hunt a wounded hog around the stage of our bunker, shined at by a stroboscope light and next to fog and flare grenades. In the end nothing spoke against that, but then we remembered one of our parties in 2012. Back then we had a being on stage, which would have frightened every aggressive pig. We had: BROOKE CANDY.
It was her first performance outside of the U.S., she was nervous, we were nervous, nobody knew her. Until then.
A lot has happened since then. More for her than for us: Terry Richardson photographed Brooke, she released many super-singles, showed her tits in the Playboy calendar, travelled around the world – and recently, Nicola Formichetti called her as his new Muse and booked her as the new face for the recent DIESEL campaign. Now it is happening for her.
And because we also want this at our party, we gave Brooke a call and asked, if she was in the mood to play at our bunker – even though we are unable to effort her. She did: confirm.
Ladies & gentlemen, in conclusion we are happy to announce, that it is BROOKE CANDY who will present the hottest, most brutal and coolest live-act of 2014 in Berlin, at our party. Who won’t come, is nothing less but a complete loser. Minimum.
Next to Brooke, we organised the coolest Asian, ever seen behind a DJ-desk: MADEMOISELLE YULIA. Also on board: the Bronx-native rapper, techno DJ and Bar 25 resident JAKE THE RAPPER, spatial artist QUID HADEN, who will perform the specially for us made sound-plastic, the most beautiful DJ from Berlin OLIVER TABILLION and our-selves, naturally, the DANDY DIARY DJ-SQUAD. It is going to be so future-like hardcore. We already find it incomprehensible.
Oi! Oi! Oi!
