Colab: Raf Simons X Fred Perry S/S 2013

Raf Simons and Fred Perry seem to have given their “till death do us part” vows. The Belgian and the British label with a sub culture charm have been working together for several seasons.

“Collage”, that’s the title of their Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The collection is of course based on the classic polo shirt. Simons designs it in several variations, with a houndstooth pattern, in light green, in blue, small checks or with a double collar.

Playing with the area around the collar seems to have been continued. The best shirt in the collection is a polo shirt with patchwork look – a look we wrote about recently.

Of course there is also a fashion film about the collection. This time around it was directed by Simons long-time companion Pierre Debuscherre while Robbie Spencer from Dazed&Confused took care of the styling.

The master himself – Raf Simons – on his new work:

“Collage – SS13 offers a very controlled and pure do-it-yourself attitude The collection shows a juxtaposition of very different materials, prints and colours, therefore giving the wearer a possibility to combine the garments in different ways.”
