It seems like WOOD WOOD has good location-scouts:
Last summer, the designer-trio presented their ‘UTOPIA’-collection in a wonderful glyptothek, the latest collection ‘HEROES’ was presented a few days ago in a brand-new climbing-hall.
The ‘climbing-rocks’ partially were highlighted with head-lamps, the catwalk turned into the foot of a ‘mountain’. An impressive scenario for a fashion show.
An inspiration for Karl-Oskar Olsen, Brian SS Jensen and Lotte Bank – the team of Wood Wood – was the british-american war movie ‘Guns of Navarone’. Especially the display of heroes in 60s movies impressed the Danish designer-trio.
The topic was enlarged within the collection, by heroes from the world of sport, culture and aerospace. On sweaters and T-shirts, hand-made prints of heroes like Tupac Shakur, Karen Blixen and Fausto Coppi were presented.
The necklaces and bags out of climbing-ropes were crafted shortly before the show, when the choice of the location was made:
