Thursday evening right before midnight Wood Wood showed their new collection “The Club” in the ‘Nørrebro Halls’ earning much acclaim among the audience. The Designer trio found inspiration in New York City, more specifically those parts of town where a lot of different cultures meet.
Karl Oskar Olsen and the others seem to gravitate to the land of opportunity a lot. Their collections “State of Mind” (S/S 2012) and “3rd Movement” (S/S 2013) were also influenced by the US.
As usual Wood Wood hit home with very interesting prints. This season we especially like the Rorschach prints. It’s a reference to the 80s do-it-yourself flyers in New York. Such prints are not used frequently in fashion, so they made a fresh and new impression.
The turtleneck sweater was also used as a styling element at Wood Wood. It’s a look we have been writing about a lot already. Prada and Raf Simons were the first ones to show it. Furthermore, we got to see the 90’s look short-sleeve shirt over long sleeve shirt
